Digital Meets Craft

Artist Michael Eden tapped into 3-D software to enhance his eye for the dimensional before creating, by hand, the ceramic Navy Vase.

Tools of the trade: British sculptor Gareth Neal entrusted his own digital design to guide his hand at a computer-controlled saw. The result is the future-forward Oak Vase, which Neal also crafts in Walnut and Ash.

Designer Hussein Chalayan chose video game characters to update an otherwise traditional design for his Approaching Rug, manufactured by Ruckstuhl and available in limited edition.

Scan, etch, sculpt: Jerusalem-based designer Sharon Sides reveals her digital prowess with The Stumps collection. For the series' Lean Stool, an image of a tree's unique ring patterns was first scanned onto brass, then acid-etched to further enhance this seating's natural appeal.

Woven Baskets

In the Rwenzori mountains of southern Uganda, weavers accent their raffia baskets with the natural dyes of flowers the artisans themselves have grown. Upgrade your pen holder with their hand-woven Rwenzori Cup

In the Bow Bin rattan series, German artist/designer Cordula Kehrer weaves an unexpected - and welcome - addition to the common plastic basket.

If a festive fruit bowl is more apt to be reached for, then this hand-woven Sisal Bowl is sure to bring health and happiness.

Coasters

It seems only appropriate that Boston designer Milicent Armstrong feature Leather-bound Kilim Coasters for her Artemis Design Co. brand.

The Zafaf Bluebird Coaster well represents Lebanese designer Peggy Raphael Dabar's distinct flair for Mediterranean decor.

Tabletop designer Kim Seybert captures casual and composed with her Raffia Confetti Coaster Set.

Blankets

With her wool Chalkney Stripe Throw, lined in linen, UK designer Laura Fletcher has created a modern version of the beloved saddle blanket.

The iconic Thonet No. 14 chair has once again inspired, this time in the form of the Hommage 14 Blanket, by Uppercase. Cane weave, lattice, wicker - whatever you'd like to call this pattern, it is clear that it takes quite well to fine merino wool.

The illustrations of Samarra Khaja have caught the eye of clients the likes of Victoria's Secret & The New York Times. And now Khaja's Otomi-esque "Mexico Springtime" series has been woven into cotton form with this jacquard Tenango Throw, giving folk art a new resolve.

A raised floral and leaf design gives the cotton Suzi Matelasse a relaxed quilted look.

A cuddle-worthy Damask Patterned Throw by Kashwere, available in more than 10 colors.

Desks

A leather-bound tabletop and drawer add visual weight to the fashionably minimal bronze base of the Negresco Desk, from the Helene Aumont Collection.

Kindel Furniture Company recalled the classic tastes of interior design pioneer Dorothy Draper to create a collection that includes this Trellis Writing Table.

Ingrid Donat's bronze busts strike a pose on this Paris designer's Femmes au Collier Desk.

This Woven Rattan Desk is apt for the uncluttered mind, with just enough room for your laptop and a tray for office supplies.

For the Directoire Writing Desk, by French design house Moissonnier, an Oz green exterior is merely an introduction to the top drawer's own secretary style surprise.

Take command of your office space with the bronze legged Minerva Desk, designed by Fiona Barratt-Campbell for her FBC London brand.

Bucket Seats & Barrel Chairs

The grace of the cherry framed Simone Chair is perhaps sealed with the gentle curve of its high-set armrest. And with a leather-clad arched sprung seat, its comfort is sure to match its style, fashioned by Argentinian design company Costantini.

Add a dash of modern with the fresh-lined Daisy Club Chair, designed by Matthias Demacker for Belgium brand SUR &PLUS.

A tufted tub chair finds sophistication in a mahogany frame, polished in high gloss lacquer to set the stage for the Hexagonal Cocktail Armchair from Taylor Llorente.

Once reserved for only special occasions, today Horseshoe Back Armchairs can easily be integrated into a home's casual style. This Shimu selection, made of willow wood, was crafted in Shandong, China.

Any lazy Sunday would be well spent in this Taylor Llorente Low Lounger Armchair

For his black walnut Colombo Dining Chair, British designer Matthew Hilton strikes a fine silhouette with an elevated back that lingers to a slightly sloped arm.

Coffee Tables

Fave furniture designer Carol Egan well represents minimal modesty with her hand-carved Walnut Coffee Table, complete with Egan's signature 180-degree twist.

Since her solo exhibit at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., Brooklyn artist April Hannah has created a most exquisite sculpture in her glass-top Lotus Coffee Table, featuring interlocking floral forms cut from Nero Marquina marble.

Designer Robert Marinelli enhanced the versatility of his bronze-based Biennale Coffee Table Set with neutral tones & materials that include a near 2-inch thick cast glass.

For the traditionalist seeking a fresh edge, the metal Imperial Coffee Table checks all the boxes. Available at Anuschka Pashel's Bloom boutique in Denver, Colorado.

Accent Tables

Product designer Jiun Ho used the Japanese word for balance, kinkou, to title a minimalist collection that includes this symbol-like Sculptural Accent Table

For the Gold Is Up Accent Table, Caracole carried a fluted base through to a tray top, then streamlined its silhouette with a gold ombre finish.

Place the Adrian Bunching Table in front of a soft-lined settee to further employ this cubed accent's straight lines.

Made Goods' Marisol is a drum table of the casual persuasion, woven in rattan.

The iron base of the Cassian End Table, by Murray's Iron Works, emanates an animalistic intrigue that stands intended to dominate as paired with two ghost table tops: a neutral limestone bottom shelf and a Greek Key-etched glass top.

A stitched pattern across the side of the Brogue Side Table's leather top is a detail that designates this Walnut accent as that of designer Bethany Gray.

Faceted

A confetti-like mother of pearl inlay adorns the faceted lines of Oly's Twilite Side Table

Burnished in 22ct gold, the bone china base of Andrea Walsh's Faceted Box fits just so with its cut glass lid.

A lacquered textured linen surface is the finishing touch for this Hexagon Table Trio from John Lyle Design.
